50 All-time Greatest Characters in Television History: #43-46

#46: Superman, The Adventures of Superman
Born: Unknown- it's confusing

Died: Again, it’s confusing…

Isn’t it weird how every Superman movie has sucked so bad, yet he remains the biggest fan-favorite superhero even after all these decades? You are looking at a huge reason why. The Adventures of Superman was the first show of its kind on television. My mother was a child at the time, and she says kids from all over the neighborhood used to come over to her house every Monday night to watch the show, as not many families had a television set at that time. George Reeves did an amazing job as the beloved comic book hero. Unfortunately, this success was not enough to make him happy. He committed suicide not long after the series ended. If you know who George Reeves is, you need to watch Hollywoodland right now. Ben Affleck does a spot-on performance of Reeves, and it has a very detailed accounting of the night Reeves died.

#45: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead
Born: 1970s
Where he is now: Not sure- he just left the prison
Daryl is often volatile but is still significantly more level-headed and rational than his older brother, Merle Dixon. Despite usually acting distant, Daryl has shown on numerous occasions to be caring, and selfless. He went alone and risked his life in an attempt to find Sophia, and immediately took initiative to go back and find Andrea, when she got separated from the group.

#44: Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City
Born: 1965

Where she is now: Probably cheating on Big by screwing around with anybody who gives her any attention

I hate her, and so do many people; however, she appeals to millions and millions of viewers from various demographics, so in the interest of fairness I must include her in here. This should be a reflection of my greatness, not hers.

                                     #43: Chandler Bing, Friends
Born: April 8, 1968

Where he is now: Senior partner at a copywriting firm and banging Monica

Even people who hate Friends like Chandler. Not only is he quick with the jokes, but he is also the most underappreciated of the six. The joke is ultimately on him, though, in a way. He ends up devastated from a break-up with Janice, quite possibly the most absolutely annoying character in the history of television. He ends up ok in the end.
